This is the conclusion to the 12 Days of Christmas interviews. The cast of War: 13th Day will now answer your questions.
—
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
12 Goodbyes, 11 Mistletoes, 10 Bottles of Wine, 9 Cups of Coffee, 8 Winter Shenanigans, 7 Roasting S’mores, 6 Cruise Surprises, 5 Spider Legs, 4 Date Nights, 3 Date Planners, 2 from Chinaland, and 1 Welcome from Virgo Islanders.
Arsenik: If this is the list of things my true love gave to me…
Arsenik: I would be quite pleased. Then again, I’ll happily receive anything that came from my true love.
Ambrosia: Ah, you shouldn’t look towards me, Sir Arsenik. You’ll make me misunderstand and simply break my heart.
Arsenik: Your only misunderstanding is that I would break your heart.
Wildfire: Ugh. You two are making me sick. You guys don’t really believe in that one true love nonsense, do you? I’m sure Ambrosia does.
Barium: Well, I don’t know about having one true love, but I do believe love exists.
Wildfire: You would say that.
Barium: Whatever is that supposed to mean? Anyway, greetings and salutations, reader! Today marks the conclusion of the 12 Days of Christmas interview series.
Wildfire: Shouldn’t we have begun with that? Instead of Arsenik making goo-goo eyes at some silly girl?
Arsenik: Your heart is so bitter that it hurts. I pity you, Valkyrie.
Wildfire: Shut your trap.
Barium: Before we wrap things up, let’s answer the questions you submitted to us.

INTERVIEWEES
Protagonists of War: 13th Day – Ambrosia & Wildfire
The Men of War: 13th Day – Arsenik, Night, Barium, Chase, & Onyx
—
Chase: Hey, I finally get to be here!
Arsenik: You’re awfully excited.
Chase: Why wouldn’t I be?
Wildfire: Well, Ambrosia and I see you a little differently in the story, so it’s like, which version gets to be here? But you’re here now, so whatever.
Barium: Which version is this?
Night: I’m sure it doesn’t matter.
Chase: Of course it does. I’m the –
Onyx: The first question is…up or down?
Arsenik: Up or down?
Wildfire: What kind of question is that?
Night: I’m going to say down. More exciting things happen when you’re down on the ground.
Arsenik: As opposed to being in the sky?
Night: When life pushes you down, it’s interesting to see the struggle and fight for survival that results from it.
Arsenik: I see. Up is my answer. In life, I rather be standing up than sitting down.
Wildfire: Then, your legs will sure get tired. Up. No one’s putting me down.
Barium: I like your fire. My answer is the same – up.
Night: I guess there’s nothing else a king could have chosen.
Barium: Ahaha! Right?
Arsenik: And you, Miss Ambrosia?
Ambrosia: Ah…I would say…up. I always thought it would be nice if you could sprout wings and fly.
Wildfire: …You would say something like that.
Ambrosia: Let us hear from you next, Sir Onyx.
Onyx: …
Wildfire: Come on. Hurry up! We don’t have all day.
Onyx: Down. It’s easier to head in that direction.
Wildfire: It sure is.
Chase: I would say –
Onyx: This is the next question. What’s your type of guy/girl? And what makes you mad, sad, and glad?
Chase: Hey! You cut me!
Wildfire: My type of guy? Someone who knows how to be a man. Annoying questions like this gets me mad. I can’t remember the last time I was sad, and I’m glad when I’m winning a battle.
Arsenik: Nothing too surprising. I’m interested in a lady, both sweet and elegant. My happiness lies in her smile, her laughter, her touch. When she sheds a tear, my heart is torn, and when she is wronged, my fury is roused.
Wildfire: Is there anything that doesn’t involve your special lady?
Barium: Hmm…I don’t really have a specific type. Every woman has a special charm. I’m mad when things go wrong, sad when I’m hurt, and glad when I’m feasting. Hahaha!
Night: I can’t really say I have a type either. If I like a woman, I like her. Normal things get me mad, sad, and glad.
Wildfire: Normal things? That’s all you’re going to say?
Night: That’s all.
Ambrosia: My type of man…mm, it’s hard to say. When I am unable to help those dear to me, I am angry. When I see harm come to them, I am in misery. When they are pleased, so am I.
Wildfire: The way you and Arsenik talk…
Ambrosia: Now, it’s your turn, Sir Onyx.
Onyx: I don’t know what my type is. Nothing makes me mad, sad, or glad.
Barium: As expected of Onyx.
Chase: I like –
Onyx: This next question is for Arsenik only. Why do you like fur? And did you kill the animal whose fur you’re wearing?
Chase: Grr.
Arsenik: I’m not particularly inclined towards fur, one way or the other. My clan wears the skins and furs of the animals we hunt. So, yes, I am wearing one of my kills. This is a lion’s mane in particular.
Onyx: Was it a cat? A cute cat?
Wildfire: It’s so funny, seeing Onyx read out these questions.
Arsenik: I suppose a lion is something of a big cat. I wouldn’t be much of a hunter if I hunted down a mere feline, now would I?
Onyx: Do you like animals?
Arsenik: Why wouldn’t I? They provide my kin and the rest of the island nourishment, clothing, and shelter.
Onyx: What does everyone think of pets? What do they like about the sun? Who/what’s the most annoying person/thing?
Wildfire: Why are there so many questions? Seriously.
Barium: Well, I, for one, am having fun. Nothing’s wrong with having a pet, not that I have one myself. I like the…brightness of the sun. Usually. There’s a reason I like evenings better. And the most annoying thing in the world…is a secret.
Wildfire: Pets are fine. I don’t know what I like about the sun. I don’t really think about it. I guess it’s nothing really. And you’re the most annoying thing.
Ambrosia: Lady Wildfire, our asker is a person, who I think is quite kind to have considered us worthy of these questions. I think pets are lovely. They provide you with such wonderful companionship and warmth. As for the sun…oh, it’s an inexpressibly beautiful thing! I love the way its clear light traces the leaves and makes the dew glitter in the morning.
Wildfire: Ugh. You never should have gotten her started.
Ambrosia: If I were to capture my feelings in a word, I would say that I adore the light of the sun. And, I suppose, it is most annoying to be confronted with your own feelings of helplessness in the face of adversity.
Arsenik: The depth of your heart amazes me like always, Miss Ambrosia. Now, as for me, pets are, to be certain, a source of great joy and comfort. I like the sun for reminding me it’s a new day when I get up in the morning and for allowing me to see beauty in all its entirety.
Ambrosia: Ah, you must mean to admire the scene behind me. If I am in your way, please allow me to move.
Arsenik: Oh, no, please don’t go anywhere, Miss Ambrosia. Unless, of course, it pleases you to sit beside me.
Night: I like pets. I like that the sun’s here, and I can’t think of anything or anyone annoying. I don’t really get annoyed easily.
Onyx: Pets are domesticated animals. I don’t like anything particularly about the sun. Nothing and no one is annoying.
Chase: Are you going to let me answer this time?
Onyx: These are the last questions. What kinda bad habits do you got? What would you change about yourselves? What do you love most about yourselves? Where do you see yourselves in twenty years?
Chase: Thought so.
Wildfire: Don’t have any bad habits as long as I’m aware of. I’d change nothing about myself, I love my strength as a Valkyrie most, and in twenty years, I see me making a name for myself.
Barium: If I’m being completely honest with you, I’d say I have a bad habit of giving in to passion too easily.
Barium: If I could change something about myself, I guess I’d like to add another ten years to my life, haha! I love that I always know what I’m doing – usually – and…let’s see. I’ll probably be much the same in twenty years. If no one’s killed me by then.
Night: It depends on what you see as a bad habit. If I had to pick, I guess I would change my eye color. What I love most about myself is that I’m me. In twenty years, I could be anywhere.
Arsenik: I don’t know if this is considered a bad habit, but once I care for someone, I give that person my all. I suppose the same could be said for you, Miss Ambrosia? Except that I wouldn’t consider your sweetness a bad habit in the slightest.
Ambrosia: You are too kind, Sir Arsenik.
Arsenik: It is the truth, Miss Ambrosia. Now then…every day, I try to change myself into a better person. I love that I can make someone precious to me smile. It is my hope that I will have built a life with her in twenty years.
Ambrosia: I would like to change my inability into ability. I would be very happy to have the power to grant wishes.
Arsenik: You would make a lovely genie.
Ambrosia: I love that I can be useful to the people in my life. To be honest, I’m not sure where in life I see myself in twenty years. I do not see the future as a constant, so I do not usually look that far ahead.
Onyx: I don’t know if I have any bad habits. I would eliminate my mortality. I don’t love anything most about myself. I don’t know where I see myself in twenty years.
Wildfire: Well, at least he’s honest.
Ambrosia: Now, poor Sir Chase can answer?
Chase: I can?
Wildfire: Nope! We’re plumb out of time.
Chase: Aww, shucks.
Ambrosia: Thank you for having read this far! I hope this won’t be the last time we see you.
Arsenik: War: 13th Day will be released on January 1, 2016. Come see us then. It won’t cost you a cent.
Ambrosia: To all those who participated in this event, please accept our deepest appreciation. This wouldn’t be possible without all of you. We hope to visit your worlds again someday.
Night: And then I can take Li Meng on another date.
Ambrosia: Unless she has found someone more suitable to her by then.
Night: Really? I thought we weren’t a bad match.
Ambrosia: To everyone in Chinaland and those at Destiny Voyage, I wish you all well. Please continue to offer Lady Rayma your warmth and companionship! To those from Teaside, let us have a cup of coffee again in the future. To those at CUPID…Sir Guilleme, I believe you expressed a wish to visit Virgo Island? Please feel free to visit. Lady Rosa, I welcome you just the same. I have found a lovely friend in you. Let us meet again.
Wildfire: That had to be the only fun interview.
Arsenik: I have a feeling we should never touch that couch again.
Barium: Now, if we’re done here, let’s be off! We’re spending Christmas with the Charlatans, remember?
Wildfire: All of us? Last I checked, the invitation was just for us, Ambrosia, and Onyx.
Barium: I’m sure they won’t mind. Just bring extra food and drink. They seemed to like that a lot.
Wildfire: I’m surprised you knew what they meant by wine and ale.
Barium: I’m familiar with mainland terms. Besides, you have to research your guests before inviting them for an interview.
Arsenik: I would certainly be pleased to accompany you, Miss Ambrosia.
Wildfire: Sure you are. Worried that Sabine will steal her away?
Arsenik: I have made no claim to Miss Ambrosia. I desire nothing more than her happiness. That said, I do believe there is nothing to fear from a boy like him.
Wildfire: Hah.
Barium: I’m actually looking forward to seeing the lovely Priam and adorable Karon again.
Wildfire: Uh-huh.
Barium: Now, let’s say goodbye everyone.
Wildfire: Get out of here already.
Barium: Ahaha…not like that!
Chase: Shouldn’t we all say ‘Merry Christmas’ or something like that?
Wildfire: Good luck getting everyone to say that at the same time.
Arsenik: I wouldn’t mind if Miss Ambrosia was willing.
Ambrosia: Shall we?
Arsenik: Let’s.
Ambrosia: Then, on the count of three.
Arsenik & Ambrosia: One, two, three.
Everyone (except Wildfire): Merry Christmas!
Chase: Come on, Wildfire.
Wildfire: Ugh. Fine. Merry Christmas.
Night: You should’ve said “Bah, humbug.”
Wildfire: Bah, humbug yourself!
Barium: Now, let’s get going. Bye, everyone. Thanks for coming.
